Buhol Buhol sa Bohol

Oh yes, just got back from a weekend vacation in Bohol.

One of my goals this year is to either go to Bohol or Boracay and I just accomplished one!

Bayantrade's (my company) had its summer outing in Bohol from May 24-26. After GSDC's (my department) shift ended in the morning, we headed immedietely to the airport. Flight was one hour delayed (as usual for cebu pacific), we arrived at around 3 PM in Alona Kew Beach Resort in Panglao where we had our welcome lunch.

I was awake for 29 hours because we had culture building activities and seminar in Bohol Beach Club. I was so tired and I slept the moment I saw my bed in my suite.

Morning, I woke up to catch the sunrise. But sun was too shy. Had breadfast, then we employees rode a bus for our country tour.

We went to chocolate hills,

then had lunch in Loboc River while a guy serenades us.

There was also a cultural dance presentation - tinikling. I wanted to try but I want to spare my embarrassment. So Lorenz and I enjoyed posing for the cam.

Then we visited tarsier sanctuary. No flashes allowed from the cam. And we can't touch them :(

But I held a monkey!

We then went to buy souvenirs and pasalubongs

We passed along old churches, spanish homes and Baclayon Church and musuem.
Since we were all tired, we didn't get off the bus to check the Blood compact Shrine.

I learned a lot about Bohol during the tour - it's history, the origin of the town names (which I already forgot some) and some historical people.
The beach.. i really didn't enjoy it. Just a normal white sand beach.. sigh...

Later that night, we had bikini open. Of course, I did NOT join! hahaha

Woke up 5:00 AM to do dolphin watching. Around 8:00 snorkeling in Balicasag Island. And I saw a giant turtle under the sea! IT was so amazing.

9:00 am, we arrived in Virgin Island. Breathtaking sandbar! Check the pics

It was an adventure of a lifetime.. and take note, tickets, accomodation and food are all free! Thanks to my comapany!
